Translation & Corporate Copywriting

English and Dutch, in both directions.

Your message deserves to sound just as powerful in another language

TRANSLATION

English ↔ Dutch

Dutch to English

Your Dutch content: reports, websites, HR documents, marketing materials, corporate communications rendered into natural, fluent, professional English that your international audience will read with confidence and trust.

English to Dutch

Your English content translated into Dutch that feels native, not foreign. Ideal for companies entering the Belgian or Dutch market, communicating with Dutch-speaking clients, or localising international campaigns for a local audience.

What makes my translations different

I am not a translation machine with a human face. I bring cultural intelligence to every project, an understanding of how Dutch and English business cultures think, communicate, and read. Where one language is direct, the other softens. Where one is formal, the other breathes. I know the difference, and I navigate it instinctively.

HOW PRICING WORKS

Transparent, flexible, and always agreed upfront

I price translation and copywriting projects based on what the work actually involves because no two projects are the same. Depending on the nature of your project, pricing may be based on:

  • Per word: standard for straightforward translation projects
  • Per hour: for editing, proofreading, or complex copywriting work
  • Fixed project rate: for larger or clearly defined projects where a single agreed price works best

There are no hidden fees and no surprises. Every quote is clear, detailed, and agreed before any work begins.

To receive a quote, simply send me:

  • Your document or a description of what you need
  • Your target language
  • Your deadline
  • Any specific tone or style requirements

I will come back to you within one business day with a clear, no-obligation quote.

A bad translation doesn’t announce itself.

It just feels slightly off. A little stiff. Not quite how your company speaks. And your reader, your client, your partner, your investor senses it immediately, even if they can’t pinpoint why.

That subtle disconnect is enough to undermine trust. To make a polished company look careless. To turn a strong message into a missed opportunity.

I translate meaning, not just words. The tone, the intent, the cultural nuance and all of it travels with the content, from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English. The result is copy that sounds like it was written in that language from the very beginning.

Because in the final version, it was.

CORPORATE COPYWRITING

Written from scratch in English, Dutch, or both

Sometimes you don’t need a translation. You need content written from the ground up in English, in Dutch, or in both languages simultaneously. Clear, professional, and calibrated precisely to your audience.

I write corporate copy that communicates with purpose and not just words that fill a page.

WHY CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE MATTERS IN TRANSLATION

Years of living across cultures, travelling the world, and working in international environments have given me something no software can replicate:  an instinct for what sounds right, what lands well, and what crosses between languages gracefully.

Dutch business communication tends to be direct, efficient, and to the point. English, particularly British English often wraps the same directness in layers of politeness and implication. American English is warmer, more enthusiastic, more personal. Belgian Dutch has its own rhythm, distinct from the Netherlands.

These are not small differences. In the wrong hands they become mistranslations, not of words, but of meaning, tone, and intent. In my hands, they become an advantage.

Ready to make your message work in English and Dutch?

Send me your project and I will come back to you with a clear, personalised quote within one business day. No obligation. No jargon. Just a straightforward conversation about what you need.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1: Send your project brief

Share your document, content, or brief  along with your deadline, target audience, and any style or tone guidelines your company uses.

Step 2: Receive your personalised quote

Within two business days you will receive a clear quote with pricing and timeline. No obligation, no pressure.

Step 3: Work begins

Once agreed, I get to work. I stay in touch throughout, flagging anything that needs your input rather than making assumptions that affect your message.

Step 4: Delivery and revisions

You receive polished, final content on or before your agreed deadline. One round of revisions is included as standard in every project because getting it exactly right matters to me as much as it does to you.

WHO I WORK WITH

My translation and copywriting clients include:

  • International companies communicating across English and Dutch markets
  • Belgian and Dutch businesses expanding internationally
  • Marketing and communications teams managing multilingual content
  • HR departments creating people documents in multiple languages
  • Entrepreneurs and consultants who want their personal brand to sound equally strong in English and Dutch
  • Executives who need polished written communications in both languages

A NOTE ON WHAT I DON'T DO

I specialise in English and Dutch. I do not offer translation services in other language combinations and I will always tell you honestly if a project falls outside my expertise rather than take it on and deliver something less than excellent.

I also do not use machine translation as a starting point. Every word I deliver is written or translated by me, personally. That is the only way I can guarantee the quality my clients expect.
